In an effort to battle gaming addiction (because we all know how deadly it can be), China is forcing its citizens to register their accounts using their real name and government issued IDs. As if stalkers weren’t real.

The registration system will go into effect this year in hopes of lowering the number of addicts. Their reasoning is that it’ll help separate fantasy and reality in addition to everyone and their mom being able to keep tabs on you.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind using my real name. It would relieve me from the headache of thinking up of an alias.
