Car companies have been designing overpriced exclusive fashion products for years, but finally the computer enthusiasts get a little love - popular case manufacturer Thermaltake has unveiled their Level 10 case, which was designed in conjunction with BMW’s Designworks USA. It’s not supposed to be officially announced until June’s Computex event, but TT decided to get people talking computer hardware a few months earlier by giving people a sneak peak at CeBIT.
Case manufacturers have tried to add innovations to the tried and true rectangular box by adding a window, big grills, using different materials and colors, but none have looked quite like this one - the Level 10 encases each individual component in its own compartment, giving it a striking look bathed in jet black and red highlights.
Judging from pictures, current demonstrations of the case are devoid of any actual components, but I’ll just assume that the BMW guys kept cable management and cooling in mind (the case is all aluminum, after all). Given the price this thing is likely to cost (some estimate between 450 and 600 euros), it better stick to the BMW mantra of high class and high performance.
