Tokyo’s legendary Akihabara continues to deliver the goods by way of Toshiba interactive billboards. Hanging outside the Akihabara location of Yodobashi Camera is a huge electronic billboard that uses its real time data access to display on-going matches between game players. Up to 6 players can play against each other per session, and can connect via YouTube, using arrow keys as controllers, or via mobile devices of pedestrians, who can use their keypads as controllers. Each session is a 90-second race where players attempt to draw the most boxes, while searching for Toshiba’s Kirby-esque mascot, Pala-chan.
