Lifeworks has joined iHome, the makers of iPod speakers docks and alarm clock docks, to release a new keyboard that will allow you to dock your iPhone and iPod touch on the keyboard.

The new keyboard dedicates the entire left side to docking the iPhone/iPod touch devices.

The docking station will come in handy for those who don’t own the iPod universal dock and will make charging and syncing with iTunes much easier. It comes in two colors, black and silver and offer a PC and Mac version. The Mac version comes with special dedicated keys for the iTunes, Safari and Mail.

Lifeworks is hoping their deal with iHome will help them gain a market share in the crowded Apple 3rd party accessories category. By the looks of things, they’re off to a good start.
