More news is coming out on Microsoft’s Zune HD. Engadget says a Software Engineer at Microsoft spoke to Neowin.net and announced the price and possible increase in hard drive capacity for the upcoming Zune HD.

The rumored price for the base 16 GB model will be between $250- $280. If that price point stands, then the Microsoft Zune HD will cost less then the comparable 16 GB iPod Touch, which retails at $299.

There were more details about the device given by the Software Engineer, a possible 64 GB hard drive capacity is in the works for release later on in the year. The Zune HD will also support full 720p movies and is on track for release in September.
