This is what the new Vizio remote control looks like. By the looks of things, it’s an oversized smartphone without the screen. This is what technology has come to, our remote controls now have QWERTY keyboards. Of course this is necessary since the Vizio TV’s are going to be internet ready. Can’t browse the internet applications without a keyboard right?

Looks like Amazon will have another competitor in the crowded eBook reader market. AUO, a display manufacturer, unveiled what looks like a cross between the Kindle 2 and the Sony eReader PRS 700 recently at a trade show in Taiwan.

It has the same 6-inch black and white screen with 600 x 800 pixel resolution as the Kindle 2 but also offers touch screen capabilities similar to that of the Sony PRS 700. More »

Apple announced this morning they’ve sold over one million iPhone 3GS’. Samsung later announced their new phone, the Samsung Jet S8000 has over two million pre-orders. Whether or not these numbers include the phones sold for Vodafone UK, the numbers are still very good. More »

Apple is at it again. According to a press release by Apple this morning, they have sold over one million new iPhone 3GS’. The numbers match last year’s 3G release but without the problems.

Last year’s 3G launch created massive iTunes outages leaving users and new iPhone customers in the dark. Many had to wait hours before being able to use their devices. More »

Google, the search engine leader, has apparently reserved one million new phone numbers for their upcoming Google Voice service.

Google Voice is the new feature Google is planning to launch that will allow cell phone users to have a second number with features such as calls, text messages and voicemails will be available on the same cell phone through their wireless carrier. More »
