USB 3.0 might finally be on the way. It’s been talked about for some time but nothing concrete has come out. Slash Gear is reporting there is a good chance it’ll be on PC’s before the end of the year.

Personally, I can’t wait till USB 3.0 comes out. I would love the faster transfer speeds. It’s being reported that it can transfer files at a rate of 5GB/s. Whether or not that holds true, we’ll have to wait and see. There isn’t any more details about the new USB upgrade but with NEC selling USB 3.0 host controller samples, it’s only a matter of time before USB 3.0 starts to pop up on new PC’s here in the states.

I don’t know what this means? LOL

That’s so fast. We’d also need faster flash drives to take advantage of the speed.
