There’s finally a way to fight back against the Paparazzi and it’s using a new concept designed by Adam Harvey. It’s called the Anti Paparazzi Clutch and it reflects the flash of the camera back to the picture taker creating a halo like effect around the person carrying the clutch, thus making the picture useless.

“Although Harvey began developing the device for his class, he wasn’t able to perfect it, and since last fall he has continued to refine the design. Currently the wiring and batteries fit in a ladies’ clutch, but he hopes to continue reducing the size of the device to the point that it could be worn in something as small as a pendant or tie tack. In its current form the device is activated by powering it on and then tilting the clutch. The sensor will register a flash being fired from up to a 45 degree angle each way. The device works at up to 1/125 shutter speed, thus effecting slower, low-light shots. ”

I can’t think of any celebrities that have would actually carry this thing around, if it gets smaller it’ll become an attractive device to use. For some reason I get a feeling most celebrities won’t be using this new device, they more they’re known, the more popular they become. Isn’t being photographed part of the lifestyle?
