According to a Nikkei.net story, Panasonic will release a robot that will do the work of a front desk clerk and pharmacist at hospitals and eliminate the need for any errors. The robot will have access to patient medical records and dispense prescriptions according to the needs of the patients, read from their records.
This “pharmaceutical” robot, set to release in a few months to countries in Europe, the United States and Japan, will finish the work of a hospital with 400 beds in about 2 hours. This is the true meaning of a medical marvel and yet there are no humans involved.

Really interesting and efficient… although the machine aspect may not pick up any new developments or symptoms of patients as their condition progresses.

With robots taking care of that, people can concentrate on other things around the hospital.
