Reports from Blackberry Underground say that the new Blackberry Onyx may have trackpad instead of the legendary Blackberry trackball, all the proof being in the pictures, of course. The Blackberry Onyx was characterized as a best of all worlds device so this move towards a trackpad was a very wise move indeed, keeping the great features of a non-touch Blackberry alive.

Adding a trackpad to the Blackberry Onyx makes this phone very similar to that of the Blackberry Curve 8520 which also has its own version of the trackpad. Maybe Blackberry is trying to change the overall designs on their phones and trying to make something that would stick, something that customers would appreciate, something that they could be proud of in their phones.
