If you’re a Netflix subscriber, things are starting to look ever better for you. Yesterday Sony announced a partnership with Netflix that will offer instant streaming to Internet ready Sony BRAVIA TV’s. Instant streaming is part of Netflix’s unlimited access plans that start at $8.99 per month.
Netflix unlimited plans can be used to access over 12,000 movies and TV episodes from Netflix and watch them right in the comforts of your living room. Netflix has been shifting to TV’s and game consoles (Xbox 360) to promote its wildly popular video rental service. If you’re an older BRAVIA owner, don’t worry Sony says you can still access Netflix through its video link module.
Maybe a partnership with Sony will finally help bring instant streaming to the Playstation 3. Is that asking for a little too much?
