The iPod Classic has been with us since 2001. It’s been great to us and we have appreciated everything it has done for us. But it’s now apparent that the iPod Classic is becoming outdated and its time for the iPod Classic to go away to the farm where your parents probably sent your dog.
In 2001, the iPod Classic was a marvel, it was beyond its time and everyone saw it as something that was not achievable but with recent progress in cheap flash memory, the old HDD technology is at its last legs. Apple has moved to flash drives in their line of music players, from the iPod Nano to the iPod Touch, and has increased the memory every year. It’s inevitable, the iPod Classic had a good run but now its time to bring in the new and send the old on its merry way.
Apple usually hold an annual iPod refresh in September.

Oh no I love my classic. I have too many songs to not have a big storage capacity to fit it all!
