The overall PC market share might be huge but Apple is winning in terms of premium prices. In June, 9 out of 10 dollars spent on computers costing above $1000 went to Apple as reported by the research company NPD Group. That means that Macs took up 91 percent of the “premium” price, increasing since the 88 percent they took in May.
Of course, Windows PC systems didn’t lose out as they still own 90 percent of the PC market share in the US but for Apple, with quality products and the recent price drop, a 90% portion of the premium market is great. Apple seems to be holding up well in this economy and are making all the right choices to do so.
