We have another Facebook story, this time from Neowin. Apparently Bill Gates signed up for a Facebook and had to shut it down because he received over 10,000 friend requests. I mean who doesn’t want one of the richest guys in the world to be their friend.

Honestly when I get a few friend requests per day, I get annoyed. If it’s a friend from way back in the day, then I don’t mind but if it’s some random stranger I met at school one day then yeah I might get annoyed. I can’t possibly imagine getting 10,000 friend requests. I wonder what these people would really be saying to him. I mean he won’t be publishing any inside information for Microsoft, nor is he going to post pictures of his personal life. So I really don’t know what they were planning to do. At the same time, Gates should have stuck it out instead of just completely shutting down. He could have found a way to stop all these people from requesting him and plus he’s got so much money, he could have someone else monitor it for him and he could put up whatever he likes at his own leisure.

Bill is stupid for this move. This is why you make a FAN PAGE! Duh!

The greatest benefit of Facebook is that it has many groups on the site that you can join. So if you are interested in Chicago Cubs you can research Chicago Cubs in the groups section and you will be able to find friends on there that like the Cubs. This is just one example, I know that you can join groups of your favorite football team, television show, or whatever you want for the most part! If you can’t find a group for your interest, you can simply create one!
