Thinking about spending a few grand and stimulating the economy all by yourself? Well, you might want to take a look at these diamond encrusted earbuds. These earbuds were originally made by Belgium based jeweler, Casa Gi and were on sale in Bristol at the Clive Ranger jewelry shop for 3,499 Euros ($5,175). More details after the break.

This pair of earphones has a total of 118 diamonds (59 on each) with 18 carat gold surrounding it. Casa Gi says that although these earphones are attracting lots of attention, there are currently no buyers. Of course not, I mean you’ve got to be an idiot to spend so much money on a pair of earbuds. Then again people have been known to do dumb things before. These earbuds would be great for a contest or auction for some kind of awareness but to actually wear them would be pushing it. If I were to buy these, I would never wear them. I don’t wanna get robbed while listening to my iPod.
