When the new iPod Shuffle came out, people were very irritated with the device because the controls of the iPod were on the included Apple earphones and couldn’t use the earphones of their choice. Belkin has come out with a rather simple solution to this problem. They’ve released a headphone adapter that allows you take control shuffle with any pair of earphones.

Belkin’s adapter offers the same buttons and functions as the iPod. It gives users the option of adjusting the volume, skipping tracks, toggling between playlists, and hearing a song title. The adapter features a 3.5 mm jack input on one side and a 3.5 mm jack connector on the other with the controller directly in the middle. Its very simple and easy to use and will probably sell like hotcakes when considering how many people bought the Shuffle. The Belkin Adapter will be available in North America at the end of July and for the rest of the world, in Mid-August. The adapter will sell on the Belkin site for $19.99. No word on whether or not it’ll work with other iPod or iPhone models.
