You know that annoying voicemail message that pops up after calling someone and not getting through? Yeah, you know what I’m talking about:
At the tone, please record your message. When you have finished recording, you may hang up, or press 1 for more options. To leave a callback number, press 5. (Beep)
I hate it just as much as you do. Well, New York Times Tech guru David Pogue hates it so much, he decided to take a stand against it.
Pogue says that companies make millions having these messages on the voicemail system and he’s going to do something about it. He wants people to join together and create a virtual army against the phone carriers. Engadget has jumped on the bandwagon and wants the text message gouging to go away as well.
