Looks like there might be a price cut for the Sony Playstation 3. Joystiq is reporting that during an overseas call with investors, Sony’s CFO and Executive VP stated that the cost of the Playstation has gone down 70 percent. That’s great news for everyone, if Sony does make a price cut. If not, then this is all BS.

The original cost of the PS 3 was around $800, so the 70% drop would put it around $240. Hopefully the price cut will take place sometime this upcoming holiday. Definitely looking forward to it.
