The Black Wii has finally arrived in Japan and looks absolutely stunning. The Wii looks like a stealth ninja. It brings back memories of when Apple first released their iPod video in black. I went nuts and ended up buying one. If Nintendo ever releases these in the States, I’ll definitely be getting one even though, I don’t have a reason to get a Wii. In another app store news, Microsoft has announced they’ll be taking submissions for their Windows Marketplace set to launch in the fall. Submissions will be taken starting July 27th (a little under two weeks from today) and will supporting up to 29 countries. More »

The 3D digital camera that shoots video and takes pictures just like a regular camera but the magic is really in the two lenses that it has. Jimmy Fallon, the host of Late Night on NBC, has started a new bit that we’ve become an instant fan of, Cell Phone Shootout. The game is simple: 3 contestants are chosen from the audience and are asked to take a picture of prizes rolling on a screen (ala slot machines). The pictures change at a speed of 6 images per sec. The Apple App Store hit another milestone today, 1.5 Billion Downloads with over 65,000 Apps in its store. The announcement comes on the heels of the one year anniversary of the Apple App Store. The apps came from developers all across the globe, now over a 100,000, to create the most successful App Store in the industry. More »


Available July 15th is the brand new Nike+SportBand. The watchlike SportBand displays vitals such as calories burned, distance pace, and time. The SportBand includes a white background screen so that the numbers are easily readable and a welded seal to improve water resistance. More »


Samsung is bringing some heat to the HD handheld video recording department with their new Samsung HMX-U10 Full HD camcorder with 1-button YouTube upload. Samsung’s device is capable of taking 10 megapixel pictures while still recording video in 1920 x 1080 Full HD. LG, the 3rd largest cell phone manufacturer in the world is planning to launch an App Store of their own but will be released first in South Korea. Currently, the LG application store holds 1,400 apps, available in 15 different languages, but LG is determined to up that number to 2,000 apps in 24 different languages by the end of this year.
