According to a Nikkei.net story, Panasonic will release a robot that will do the work of a front desk clerk and pharmacist at hospitals and eliminate the need for any errors. The robot will have access to patient medical records and dispense prescriptions according to the needs of the patients, read from their records. More »

Nike today launched their new T-shirt gun so you can act like a fool with your friends. T-shirt launchers are extremely popular at sporting events, when mascots or cheerleaders come out and launch t-shirts to fans. The Japanese have done it again. This time they’ve managed to create a robot that can make noodles in 2 minutes. Momozon Robot Rame was created by Yoshihira Uchida, who owns the noodle shop he works in. His robot allows customers to choose from over 40 million flavor combinations. More »


Sprint has taken a difference strategy with their new Palm Pre not allowing Pre sales over the phone. The official word from Sprint is so Sprint “can focus inventory in sales channels where customers have the best opportunity to experience Ready Now, and we can deliver the best purshasing experience.”

I wonder why Sprint has decided to take this approach considering the Pre has been getting rave reviews. They may be taking the Apple iPhone approach, allowing a representative to walk through customers who might have problems with using the phone. More »


It’s official, Google is joining the fight for operating dominance with their announcement that the Google Chrome OS is coming in 2010. What does this mean? Well for starters, Windows and OS X have some competition, especially Microsoft, which has more to lose than Apple in the OS battle. More »

Sonos, the makers of the wireless audio system, has launched their second generation remote control for their extremely popular audio system. The Sonos CR200 provides wireless multi-touch control of zoneplayers throughout the house or apartment.

This Friday, July 10th will mark the one year anniversary of Apple’s App Store. I don’t know what the iPhone would be without the App Store and I don’t know what people did with their phones before that besides just making phone calls.

The State of New Jersey is implementing a new law on its drivers that they cannot operate GPS systems while driving because this could pose a threat to themselves and others. The last time a law such as this one was in early 2008 when New Jersey joined other states to enact hand held cell phone bans. More »


Sony is set to release a netbook next month and is finally taking the plunge into the netbook market. The Sony W will feature a nice 1366×768 widescreen display already setting it higher up on the scale considering that other netbooks have a screen resolution of 1024×600. LG is playing with our minds. Today, LG announced the heir to the throne of the famous LG chocolate, which sold over 21 million units worldwide.
