First cell phone blogging, now cell phone novels.

A trend which started in Japan about 10 years ago called keitai shousetsu (or cell phone stories) has spread like wild fire in the Asian region thanks to ease of accessibility to technology and advanced features in multimedia phones.

Where ten years ago you actually had to grab a pen and paper, now you can just type it all up on a cell phone, post to your website and your readers can download the novel by installment. More »

The success of the iPhone 3GS might be spurring a new feature in upcoming iPods, a video camera. According to inside reports at TechCrunch, Apple has ordered a massive amount of cheap cameras, similar to the ones included in the iPhone 3GS.

The TechCrunch source says they know it’s for the iPod because of the size of the order. Only iPod parts could be ordered in so many. Apple couldn’t realistically sell that many iPhones within the year. More »

There’s news floating that Amazon is planning to apply for an in-book advertisement patent for their Kindle Devices. Amazon is hoping to subsidize the cost of the e-books through ad sales, making their Kindle device more appealing to consumers. Michael Arrington, the man behind the TechCrunch websites, has come out with a web tablet and plans to unveil it in either July or August and will be available soon after for under $300.

Arrington is a former tech blogger that created the network of “Crunch” sites and now has created a separate company, CrunchPad to release the upcoming 12-inch web tablet. The atom powered touchscreen device will not have the ability to download any files or applications. It’s strictly a device that powers up right into the browser but does have the ability to connect to computers through USB and download files. More »

Who would have thought the day would come when someone gets blocked from Twitter because they were Tweeting too much. Isn’t that the whole point of the social networking site?

Bonnie Smalley, a customer service rep for Comcast has been blocked from Twitter because she tweeted too many times within the hour. It’s not surprising to hear this news considering Twitter allows bots to send hundreds of messages within the hour and now they can’t even tell the difference between a hand typed messages and those sent by bots.
