USB 3.0 might finally be on the way. It’s been talked about for some time but nothing concrete has come out. Slash Gear is reporting there is a good chance it’ll be on PC’s before the end of the year.

Personally, I can’t wait till USB 3.0 comes out. I would love the faster transfer speeds. It’s being reported that it can transfer files at a rate of 5GB/s. More »

Bing, the new search engine from Microsoft, is gaining momentum, ready to take on Google and is actually quite good. Better than Google at some things. One of the problems that many had with Google was real-time searches, but Bing has taken a stride ahead of Google in that department by attempting to add Twitter searches. More »


The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Dell is currently working on a pocket-sized gadget capable of accessing the internet, but would not have cell phone capability. Naturally this report has very little weight behind it, and this Dell gadget may just be another of many exploratory prototypes that never make it to the market, but when a giant like Dell says that they’re working on a Google Android-based portable, one tends to listen. Are you a hypermiler? You know, those crazed drivers who go 50 mph in the slow lane, or 60 mph in the fast lane if they’re in a Prius. Remember to pulse the gas pedal, not constant, and accelerate going down slopes so you’ll have more momentum to carry you up the next hill. Today was the 30th Anniversary for one of the most iconic name in the gadget world, Sony’s Walkman.

Sony, which first introduced the quirky, block looking device that played cassette tapes, changed the landscape of music and became an instant classic due to its cutting edge technology (at the time). The Walkman ruled the 70’s and 80’s leading into the 90’s. Until the the arrival of the iPod from Apple, Sony was the leader in music and music hardware. More »


The UK is finally getting the Palm Pre but they’ll be getting the GSM version. It’s not official yet, but O2 has secured broad global rights to the Pre in March, and is looking to launch the Pre in UK. This comes after pictures of a GSM Pre floating around the net.
