The Google Voice/Apple fiasco has hit another level today with AT&T responding in an email sent to CrunchGear, stating:

AT&T does not manage or approve applications for the App Store. We have received the letter and will, of course, respond to it.

What this basically means is, AT&T is saying they have no control over what Apple does and it’s all their fault. I can’t begin to imagine what Steve Jobs is feeling right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple drops AT&T in the near future after their exclusive agreement ends. I don’t know why AT&T would react this way because they need Apple more than Apple needs them. We’ll have to wait and see what happens because this is going to be a long and dragged out fight till the FCC comes up with their verdict.

AT&T gets on everyone’s nerves. I think unless one is on the pay-as-you-go plan, it may not be worth having it as your carrier unless one really knows the details of it all.

much drama …
