Firefox is hoping to continue their increase in the browser market share with the announcement of their one billionth download. It’s a major milestone for the upstart company launched 5 years ago and now owns a 31% market share.
Firefox currently trails Internet Explorer, who has a 60% market share. It only seems like yesterday when Firefox was just another browser trying to take down IE, but now IE is the one shaking in their boots as Firefox continues to grow. Firefox Mobile and Firefox 4.0 are coming soon, so these numbers will continue to rise and possibly take a larger cut in the browser market share.

Hm…Firefox is good when Internet Explorer starts to act stupid. That’s why I’m glad I have Safari. XD
