Last week I asked a co-worker about the show 24. I never got into the show but had seen a few episodes. After hearing some positive things about the show, I decided to start over and watch it from season 1. I wanted to see at least 10 or so episodes before deciding to buy all the seasons. I looked everywhere on-line but couldn’t find it anywhere. This is where I expected Hulu, one of the leading online video sites, to come through. Sadly, I was disappointed.

Hulu only offers 5 episodes of the latest season of shows but Hulu offered “24″ starting at episode 5 of season 1. WTF? You’d think if they were showing season 1, they’d start from episode 1. I was extremely disappointed with Hulu’s offering because this is the slow season for television, when reality shows outnumber good television. If Hulu could provide content for viewers like myself, people who are just getting interested in a show, then a network could make more money or even have a new group of followers.

“24″ isn’t the only show with this problem. NBC is one of the creators of Hulu, yet they don’t offer all of their network shows on the web. One of my favorite shows, Law and Order: SVU, is not available to watch online either on Hulu or on the NBC site. All you get are small clips and behind the scenes stuff. Hulu and NBC are missing out on a great opportunity to get new fans and make extra money by not offering these shows on the popular website. I guess I’ll have to look elsewhere for content, now I’ll have to bother my friend for his DVD’s.

Are you disappointed by Hulu not offering more content online? What are some shows you haven’t seen but would like Hulu to offer?
