Apple has always been in the grasp of secrecy and has always managed to hide anything that could possibly affect their business. With the many problems ell, we’ve all seen the stories of iPods catching on fire and burning things around them. Recently, Apple has been battling a small problem, exploding iPods and they’re trying to keep it a secret from the consumers.
A man in New England dropped his daughter’s iPod and the iPod began to heat up and make noises. When the man took the iPod into the backyard, the iPod popped 10 feet into the air with a puff of smoke. Now, all this man wanted was refund and after a few calls to Apple, he got one. Apple demanded that he keep their agreement a secret and that if he talked, they would seek injunctive relief and damages. The man refused the refund.
Who knows how many other situations like these Apple kept in the dark? This is a horrible thing that Apple is doing, it is unethical and makes Apple an untrusting company.
