Based on reports from RTLinfo, Sony is planning to release a PlayStation 3 Slim at this year’s GamesCom expo in Cologne, Germany. Reports say that the specifications and features will remain the same but the design is the main focus and will probably be introduced at Sony’s pre-event press conference.

After the all the rumors and talk about a PS3 slim, we might finally get it the release. Current gamers will definitely be excited with the PS3 Slim release for a number of reasons. Besides the obvious, a new gaming console, the older PS3 models will most likely see a price cut, making it cheaper for anyone to buy a Playstation 3 console. The PS3 Slim is rumored to debut August 18th, in Cologne, Germany.
