Alternative fuel and Hybrid cars are all the talk this year and nothing is proving more worthy of conversation than the new Nissan Leaf - an all-electric car, projected for release in 2010. Nissan has taken it all in one jump with their first electric and zero-emissions vehicle.

Toyota is slowly working with their Prius but Nissan is going for it all. The Leaf doesn’t have any mean looks to it but does have 100 mile range, speed of 90 MPH, quick charging and is affordable.

Nissan says that driving the Leaf will cost an average of $13 a month. That’s really cheap compared to many other vehicles, of course not counting the extras (ie. Parking tickets, car washes, oil changes etc.). One of the most amazing and convenient things about the Leaf is that it can charge 80% of its power in about 30 minutes. This is an amazing car with its environmental impact and power. We’ll just have to see how other car companies manage their fleet to fight the features of this car.
