Instead of carrying around a charger for all of your gadgets and running around trying to find an outlet, you might want to try the new Eneloop Portable Solar. The Eneloop Portable Solar is a stylish arrangement for solar panels that absorb the sun’s energy for you to charge your gadgets on the go.
Created by Japan’s Sanyo, this Portable Solar allows charging for laptops, gaming devices, USB devices, and cell phones. The design, it has a shiny purse looking exterior, doesn’t necessarily scream “carry me” but it is a very smart and innovative idea. No word on how much the Eneloop Portable Solar will cost but it will go on sale in Japan next week.
I trust Eneloop products. Currently I use their ready to use rechargeable AAA and AA batteries for all remotes and gadgets. Some of them I’ve had for over a year and they’re still working great. If the Portable Solar does what it does, maybe more people won’t mind carrying it around. Now if Sanyo can create a smaller version (smartphone size), it’d catch on pretty quickly.
