Sprint and Samsung are teaming up to help save Mother Earth. They introduced the latest offering from Samsung, the Reclaim, an eco friendly smartphone made from 80% recycled material. Here’s the best part, the phone is made from corn but you can’t eat it. (Specs and details after the break)
The phone comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 2 mega-pixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, and Sprint Navigation. But the phone isn’t the only thing that’s eco friendly. The packaging is also coming in 70 percent recycled material, making this a good buy if you’re interested in a new phone and want to help save the environment at the same time.
The Reclaim will be available in “Earth Green” and “Ocean Blue” for $50 after two rebates of $30 (instant) and a $50 mail-in rebate. You can purchase the phones starting August 16th. To continue with its environmental friendly theme of the phone and packaging, $2 from the profit of the phone will go towards the Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program.
