Friday night, during Conan O’Brien’s monologue, he referred to Facebook as “Facebox” when making a joke about Twitter and Facebook being shut down by hackers. Surprisingly his audience kept clapping, happy he made that mistake. Conan wasn’t aware of his mistake until his announcer and friend Andy Richter pointed it out by saying “you did it again.” Conan corrected himself but continued to make fun of his blunder.

He made another Facebook reference after an audience member kept screaming, by saying “She’s my fan on Facebox.”

But it didn’t stop there. In one of his bits, Conan met a man, Wing Pang, on the Universal lot. After the bit, Wing came on the Tonight Show stage. While introducing the guests for the night, Conan asked Wing if he liked Eric Bana (one of the guest for the Friday show), Wing asked, “does he have a profile on Facebox?”, referring to Conan’s Facebook mistake.

I’m actually surprised Conan made the Facebook blunder considering he has a huge following on Facebook and he’s reading off a cue card. I wonder if the person who wrote the card made the mistake or if Conan read it as Facebox? I guess we’ll never know.
