Green energy is now going portable with the Sun Drive. You can still save the planet and lower your carbon footprint with this small 2 inch USB drive, created by Korea’s Zyrus. The Sun drive has solar panels on both sides and stores energy to charge on your digital camera, cell phone, or MP3 player as long as you have a USB to connect to the Sun Drive. It can supply most devices with approximately 35 hours of power and can charge your cell phone for 100 minutes of talk time and will hold up until the next recharge.

Sun Drives are available in memory capacities of 2,4,8 and 16 gigabytes. These USB devices are still not as advanced as we expect it to be. Multitasking USB devices such as the Sun Drive are fairly new to the market and have not made it to the spotlight just yet. If you would like to one of the first to get one of these, the Sun Drive is available starting out at 23,000 Won (Korean Currency), which is roughly $23.
