The Segway never made it into the public like the inventors had hoped. It was too expensive and no right minded citizen was really going to use it. But now, a Slovenian inventor Aleksander Polutnik, has taken the Segway concept and applied it to a unicycle like device called the eniCycle. The device is supposed to be so user friendly, that anyone can learn to ride the eniCycle within a half hour.
The eniCycle looks like someone chopped off Bumblebee’s leg and is using it to travel. I do like the idea of the eniCycle and unlike the Segway, this may actually catch on. It’s powered by an electric motor and has a self balancing system to keep you steady and on the eniCycle at all times. There’s no price or availability of the device but we’re hoping the price isn’t sky high. Check out the video of the eniCycle in action after the break.
