IREX Technology, a Dutch company, has found a supplier for eBooks on their e-Reader. While Barnes & Nobles will provide eBooks for IREX, it is not an exclusive deal. This is the second partnership Barnes & Nobles has put together, the first with Plastic Logic.

IREX is releasing a 8.1-inch touchscreen eReader with 3G wireless connection. IREX CEO Kevin Hamilton, said IREX will be offering content from various outlets, not just Barnes & Nobles, “We will change the dynamics of the consumer market – users want to easily purchase content from a variety of sources and we allow them to read it on an IREX eReader as well as other devices.”

With IREX offering 3G service, touch screen and partnering with a reputable book company, they may give Amazon and its ebook store a run for its money. No other eReader in the market has offered 3G service other than Amazon with its Kindle.

Barnes & Nobles will supply IREX with over 700,000 digital titles. IREX eReaders will be going on sale in Europe soon and will possibly come to the states, sometime later.
