French company Optinvent is teaming up a Japanese manufacturer to bring a new head mounted display (HMD) called the Clear Vu. With a more affordable pricing, due to cheaper lens, the device will be available to consumers for around $200. What does it do? It lets you watch portable movies, play games and augmented reality visualizations.

But after taking a peak at the design, I don’t know many people that are willing to look like idiots by wearing one of these things around. They’ll be available in the second half of 2010 and are going to be priced at $200.
