I used to be a pretty big fan of bluetooth headsets until the higher end models started to cost as much as cell phones. But here’s a new concept that might redefine (good or bad, it’s still up in the air) the headset craze. Argentinian design team BCK, has designed a ring concept in which the two rings are used to talk on the phone and end calls. More pics and details below.

The larger of the two rings go on your thumb and acts as the speaker, while the smaller ring goes on a finger and is the microphone. You can talk on the phone while making the “call me” sign to everyone walking by. To end the call, you basically bring the rings closer (it’d have a range monitor). Of course this design may never take off. How many people seriously want to be on the phone for hours with their hands up near their ears? The whole point of headsets is to make the process easier. This seems to be making things a little bit harder.

You’ve got to be a fool to think it’ll work somehow and a bigger fool if you’ll actually walk around and talk with your hands that way.
