One of the great forgotten features about the iPhone, until recently is the accelerometer which allows the iPhone to switch from portrait to landscape mode when turned on its side. This particular feature is overlooked by users because of the various docks that only work upright.
Well, Steven Combs, an IT professional at Ivy Tech University, has taken matters into his own hands and created the rotating Lego iPhone dock. The dock, made entirely from white, gray, and black Lego pieces has a small space on the bottom, for the USB and allows the iPhone to be docked from above. Although the iPhone must be docked upright at first, it can be turned on its side for viewing videos in landscape mode. While there are many other docks out there that can rotate, you could always be creative and create your own. And you can never go wrong with LEGO.
