Lately I’ve been getting more and more frustrated with ATT. First of all whenever I make a phone call, the other person can’t hear me. I have to hang up, then call them back or have them call me. I thought it was a problem with my phone but the problem comes and goes with others on the AT&T network as well. The only reason I’m still with AT&T is because of the iPhone and my current family plan. The plan ends in the summer but it be extremely difficult for me to get rid of the iPhone. I’ve been using it for the past few years and couldn’t imagine not using it anymore.
Along with the apps and other features that make the iPhone extremely easy to use, the iPod is an absolute necessity for me. In the past I’ve tried using a blackberry and carrying an iPod (including the touch) but the convenience factor is thrown out the window and it’s a hassle carrying two devices (I don’t know how some people do it).
I want to jump ship to either Sprint or T-Mobile because of the cheaper prices on the plans but none of then carry a phone that’s equivalent to the iPhone. The closest phone I could think of is the myTouch 3g on T-Mobile. It looks like a great phone, runs Android, and looks better and better the more I see it (T-Mobile ad with Whoopi Goldberg and Phil Jackson).
Sprints latest unlimited nationwide plan is absolutely amazing and is even cheaper than the iPhone plans, especially with unlimited calling. Everyone wants the iPhone on the Verizon network but I would love it if went to Sprint instead. But that’s wishful thinking and the chance of that are very slim, considering rumors are suggesting that the iPhone will stick with AT&T for a little longer.
Are you frustrated with AT&T’s shoddy coverage and plans? What’s your reason for not switching to another carrier?
