Looks like there’s trouble brewing in the land of Apple. With Microsoft looking to take away sales staff and managers, they can further that goal with news that Apple employees in Lynwood, Washington are planning a walk out on Saturday October 3rd at 1 pm. The walkout is taking place because employees are are upset at the Lynwood store managers for their “abusive” behavior.

This news will light up the faces of Microsoft as they plan to open up their own retail stores and look to Apple store employees to manage their own stores. The walkout in Washington brings up an interesting question; are all Apple stores managed like this or is this a one time incidence?

If this is a one time incidence in Washington, then this is all being blown out of proportion but if managers are taking advantage of their employees across the country, then something definitely needs to be done on Apple’s end.

It takes a lot to piss off an entire store full of employees. When I worked retail a few years ago, the complaints of employees went unheard. Many of the workers needed their jobs to pay bills and take care of their families, so they didn’t complain at all. Although it may not be a similar case, these employees feel that this is more important than losing their job. Hopefully Apple and these employees get this problem resolved because the last thing Apple needs is a PR nightmare about its stores when Microsoft is slowly working to poach their employees.
