The Playstation 3 Motion Controller is real! The finalized version looks like the only other motion controller out in the market, the Wiimote. Yup, Sony has decided to go with something that’s familiar and people can easily recognize.
The Motion Controller comes with buttons on top with a trigger button at the bottom , a lithium-ion battery, accelermeter, and the rumble technology found in DualShock controllers. There’s also a big ball at the end of it, which is what the Playstation Eye camera tracks for movement. I have to say that, that ball at the end of it just looks stupid and makees the Wiimote look so much better. Either way, I’m still looking forward to the motion controller and hoping it works as well as the Wiimote.
Is it me or does that picture of the Sony CEO holding the motion controller look like a sex toy? Maybe I’m looking at it the wrong way but it does look like one, no?
The device has been rumored to be hitting Japan retail shops in March, with a possible Stateside release in the Spring.

There is always a chance of the ball breaking off if someone is playing with the remote and they swing it against something.
