Today is a big day for the iPhone and AT&T. For those of you that have been waiting 3 long years to have the ability to do something that’s been a staple in most basic phones, the iPhone will finally get it today. Today is the day MMS finally comes to the iPhone.
While I’m not a big fan of MMS (never really cared about sending a picture through text), many people will find it useful and have been clamoring about it for some time. AT&T is finally planning to get it to all iPhone users sometime today (I’ve yet to see an update on my iPhone, so I’ll be waiting).
MMS is great and all but I hope this doesn’t make the AT&T service worse than it already is. I’m already having trouble hearing people when they talk on the phone, get calls dropped regularly, so the last thing I want is a picture messaging service screwing with the ability to talk to people. If I wanted to hear scrambled voices, I would have signed up with T-Mobile.
