If you’re like me and hate Windows Mobile OS on a smartphone, then you won’t like the latest news. Apparently Microsoft is going to release 30 new Windows Mobile 6.5 devices by the end of this year, with the latest software being offered in a phone starting on October 6th, 2009.

The new Windows Mobile phones will offer with two new Microsoft services: My Phone and Windows Marketplace for Mobile. My Phone is a service similar to Apple’s MobileMe service, allowing customers to back up and sync, data, information, pictures, videos, contacts and text messages on the web.

Windows Marketplace for Mobile is Microsoft’s App Store, providing mobile applications online and on the the handsets. Like mentioned before, the first Windows Mobile 6.5 device will be available on October 6th. If you’re a fan of the OS, you’ll have plenty of options this upcoming holiday season.
