Peek, the little startup that just turned 1 is offering a deal on its Peek email device. For $229 you can get a Peek Pronto with one year of service. For just $70 more, you can get the Peek Pronto with a lifetime of service. The Peek Pronto can handle up to 5 email accounts and offers services like unlimited texting, Twitter, Facebook, maps and weather. Its little brother the Peek only handles 3 accounts and lacks texting and social networks.

Now I’m not sure if you’ll be holding on to a device like this for more than 2 years; and I don’t know how many people would rather get one of these instead of a smartphone. Regardless, this is a great deal if you are in the market for a no frills email device or if you were planning buying and keeping a Peek for at least a year (Peek Pronto + 1 year service costs $300).

Amazon.com is offering up this deal and according to Peek, they have already sold out their first batch of devices. So, act quick if you want to get within the next couple weeks.

The Peek sounds like a great device!!

I actually have one. I got it free with 6 months of service. It’s pretty nice.

I’m actually thinking about getting the Peek device cuz I don’t have data on my iPhone and don’t feel like paying 30 bucks a month to get access to my emails.
