Rockband is a truly amazing game, especially since its arrival in the Apple app store, but I don’t think it was designed to be played by robots, except this one. Created by Joe Bowers, the robot racks up the highest amount of points in the least amount of time. It seems Mr. Bowers has way too much time on his hands. Bowers made the painstaing process of creating the robot look rather easy. The base for the entire project is within a simple iPhone Pelican case, where a mess of wires, a light sensor, and a bunch of Servos are housed. More »


Sports have finally hit the iPhone hard, with the new NBA League Pass Live streaming app. MLB recently allowed live game streaming on their iPhone app, priced only at $10, now the NBA followed with their live streaming app. The app streams all 40 games a week, streamed live or from a 48 hour archive over 3G or WiFi, meaning you’ll be able to watch two back to back games in case you missed them. Just in time for Halloween, something spooky and gadget related has popped up, the tesla radio in a jar. Posted on instructables.com user mrfixits, this non powered radio unit, dubbed “crystal radio circuit in a jam jar”, brings in all sorts of things, from soundwaves, radios, plaser pulses, and even thunder storms. The latest news from Apple, since the release of their new iMacs is the Bluetooth headset patent that they recently filed While reading about one specific patent from the millions out there is not fun, this one did raise the eyebrows of quite a few people who saw it. Nintendo is hiding a secret and we’re about to blow it wide open to everyone. A French website, Logic -Sunrise reported earlier today from a source within the inner workings of Nintendo, that an update for the Nintendo Wii is in the works and is to be announced in 2010. More »

With the near release of the upcoming L4D sequel, Left 4 Dead 2, special features dealing with the Xbox Live concepts are starting to take shape. Valve confirmed today that there will be a list of special awards to use on your gamer avatar on Xbox Live that are to be earned from completing various tasks in-game.
