According to Neowin.net, a list of 10,000 Hotmail email accounts starting with A and B was posted on a site called Pastebin. The leak affects users that have emails ending in @hotmail.com, @live.com and @msn.com.
The leak was officially confirmed by Microsoft to be not the result of a breach of Microsoft data but possibly the result of a phishing scheme.
It is suggested that if you have a Hotmail account, then you should change your password immediately. Heck, while you are at it, change all of your passwords. You can never be too safe.
