External hard drives are getting smaller and more advanced everyday, but in order to do this, many companies shed the style. Well, some hope has come for those who are in the market for an external hard drive. The new LaCie by Philippe Starck packs quite a punch, with its chrome mobile and desktop drives that LaCie is calling “sculptured magma”.
The LaCie looks downright amazing. The chrome finish shows off the LED Philippe Starck logo and houses tech that is reliable, fast, and rather cheap. A 1TB desktop model of this shiny goodness will cost you $130, while a 2TB model will cost you $250. This is a lot cheaper than other hard drives and offers even more storage.
The Mobile version of the LaCie has less space than the desktop, and tops out at $100 for 320GB and 500GB for $140. The mobile hard drives cost more because of its portability and size, although we’re pretty sure that users won’t mind dropping a few extra dollars for this amazing piece of tech.
