CES 2009 bought many gadgets to the forefront of technological advancement but the one that made a big impression was the Powermat charger. The Powermat charger is one of the few devices that uses wireless electricity through induction with successful results.
The Powermat charger is a thin platform that charges your gadgets through the induction case that comes with it, no wires necessary. The mat itself costs $100 and the case comes for an extra $40 which is not a lot to pay, considering how much time and energy it will save you. The only downside to this is the limitation of devices so unless you own an iPhone, iPod Touch, Nintendo DS, or Blackberry, you have to buy a separate adapter in order for the Powermat to charge you gadgets.
The Powermat is very easy to use and is perfect for nightstands or desktops, just put your 3 favorite gadgets on the strip and in a few hours time, they’ll be fully charged. No wires, no hassle. If you plan to buy one, the Powermat is available at your local Best Buy or Target.
