Barnes and Noble is ready to shoot to the top of the e-reader market. In September, Barnes and Noble released their new iRex ereader but that doesn’t seem to be enough for them, they are now releasing a brand new ereader, what looks like a cross between an iPhone and a Kindle.
The leaked pic above from Gizmodo show what the device looks like and it looks almost too good to be true. The device features a 800×600 pixel paper screen, multi touch capabilities in order to browse books in full color, and to write out notes and search terms. Barnes and Noble will sell B&N titles as well as Google books. If this device actually ends up looking like what’s in the picture, then the Kindle will definitely start to get some competition. We’ll just have to wait and see if B&N can deliver next Tuesday.
