Elderly people hate the modern age, with all of its tech and confusing gadgetry but now it’s a proven fact that use of such tech, the Internet for example, can help them with their brain functionality and could possibly save them from the onset of dementia.

A UCLA study of a group of elderly people, from ages 55 to 78 has proven that their brains are able to adapt quickly to this new information and can possibly “alter the way the brain encodes information”. This study is rather surprising when considering the fact that many elderly dementia patients have never used the Internet in their lives. This could help the elderly stimulate their brains a bit more and let them know that the world of technology has changed, giving them a chance to get acquainted with it. So, getting your grandma that computer she hates can very well help her get used to technology, and could save her from dementia.
