Do you know how hot your car gets when you leave it out in the sun? Dell decided to do something about it by installing solar panels above their employee parking lots, which will keep the cars cool and create reusable solar energy. Talk about going green. The solar structure creates 130 kilowatts of solar power, enough to fight 145,000 lbs of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
Within this parking lot, there are also charging terminals for electric cars, although only two cars can be charged at a time. This seems like a great idea to save people from overheated cars and create green energy at the same time. Maybe other companies should think about transforming their parking lots.
